FAÇADE ASSEMBLY:
FAÇADE PANELS:
- 1. Find wall studs or header and make marks on wall above where panels will be set.
- 2. Set back panel No1 temporarily in place and mark holes to be drilled, in that panel, to match wall studs. (2 on each side of panel, top and bottom, and 2 in the middle, top and bottom).
- 3. Take this panel down.
- 4. Drill ¼ inch lag bolt holes in panel at your marks.
- 5. Install all stud posts, included, thru back of panel No1 and tighten with star nuts included.(make sure to not put posts thru your lag bolt holes.)
- 6. Attach back panel to wall with ¼ inch lag screws, included, through your designated holes, and tighten.
- 7. Put first set of spacers over posts and set on panel No2.
- 8. Repeat for all consecutive panels.
- 9. After last panel is set, put cap nuts on and tighten.
MANTEL:
- 1. Find wall studs or header.
- 2. Drill holes in back panel to match wall studs. 2 each end, and 2 in the middle, each set one on top of the other. (IMPORTANT: There must be 2 lag bolt holes, one on top of the other, within 1 inch of the end of each side of the mantel piece, in case a stone slab is to be used—3 cm maximum stone thickness--. This, in some cases, could require installing a header.)
- 3. Before setting this piece attach brace pieces to mantle back panel and put screws into them from behind panel so cap nuts are inside mantle space, tighten.
- 4. Attach back panel to wall using your newly drilled lag bolt holes.
- 5. Assemble mantle front piece to back piece using short screws from the inside facing out and tighten cap nuts. (You might want some longer temporary screws to put in to hold mantel pieces in place while you install your final short screws and cap nuts, and tighten. Two on each end and two in the middle).
- 6. Set top piece on.

- · 36 spacers for the 3 panel -- 54 spacers for the 4 panel -- 72 spacers for the 5 panel
Tools required: 3/8 open end or box end wrench, medium sized screw driver, 7/16 open end or box end wrench
